Yulin dialect – video

This dialect of Cantonese is said to be of the oldest form of Mandarin. The Yulin dialect is only spoken in Yulin city, Guangxi Zhuang zu Autonomous Region in Southwest China and has approximately 4 million speakers. In the video a passenger is talking to the bus driver:”This evening the patrol car might be out, ….. it looks like it’s raining.” Now how many of you understood that?

      I am also working on a study of the Zhuang language with many different dialects totally different from Mandarin and some region’s dialects so different that outsiders cannot understand.
