Several years after graduation it is hard to go back to school and do a graduate degree. I have always thought about doing it but the question of getting an advanced degree does not necessarily get you a job so what do you do? This question, what do you do when you get a Masters or PhD and you don’t get a job? Especially in a country like Canada where jobs are so shallow. What I mean is just about the highest you get is a manager position in a place like starbucks. So what? Any idiot can do that. What we need is more diversity in the canadian job market. What about the artists, the linguists, translators/interpretors, foriegn language experts, localization, etc etc. Even Japan’s poor economy still supports these jobs, China the market is growing but Canada for some reason is going backwards.
