The Power of Sentences

Although I am not all that certain on how true the last post on Bush is but I have to agree on at least the first four sentences. Just to survive in a foreign country it does not take much vocabulary nor grammatical structure. A good attitude and willingness to make mistakes is all you need. When I learned Mandarin in China I bought a book called 301 basic expressions published by the University of Beijing, which I found to be of great assistance. The second line of the “Power of Sentences” just happens to be 300 to make a living and I have to agree again from personal experience while 100 sentences is just a short term tourist. Obviously, knowing 2000 expressions is not going to allow you to run for US president as foreign born citizens can’t run for office….  Stupid American policy!
