Google is out, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter are banned in China. However, Wikipedia is now available in China. Truth is I really don’t care if Facebook, Youtube and Twitter is not available in China because there are plenty of alternatives and even better than the American equivalents. Take QQ.com older and bigger social networking site than Facebook that allows one to watch full length movies for free, 32Gb of free email space, free streaming music and I just discovered recently that you can upload videos too. It’s like a Gmail, Facebook and Youtube all-in-one plus more! Baidu.com the Chinese equivalent of Google has free streaming music something Google will never provide. Social networking just gets better in China without American brand names.
Google has pulled out but really I would like to see all American junk food fast food corporate chain restaurants like McDonald’s and KFC to pull out as well.
